Pvt. Ira L. Jefferies (D)
Pvt. Jefferies survived the Death March, the Capas Boxcars, and work details. He was liberated from Cabantuan in what came to be known as “The Great Raid” in 1945. He died on this date in 1973 in Charleston, West Virginia.

Pvt. Jefferies survived the Death March, the Capas Boxcars, and work details. Coincidentally, he was also liberated from Cabantuan in what came to be known as “The Great Raid” in 1945 at the same time Pvt. Jefferies (above). He died on this date in 2000 in Harrodsburg, Kentucky.
