2nd Lt. Scoville

2nd Lt. Leroy A. Scoville died on this date in 1945 onboard the hell ship Brazil Maru from wounds he suffered when the hell ship he was on, the Enoura Maru, was attacked. He had survived the sinking of an earlier hell ship, the Oryoku Maru only to be mortally wounded later. He was buried at sea, so his name appears on the Tablets of the Missing.
