Pvt. Coats survived the Death March, the Capas Boxcars, POW camps, a hell ship voyage and slave labor in Japan. He died in Wichita Falls, Texas on this date in 1989.

Pvt. Willis E. Lewis (D)
Pvt. Lewis survived the Death March, the Capas Boxcars, POW camps, a hell ship voyage and slave labor in Japan. He died in Mount Washington, Kentucky on this date in 2008.

2nd Lt. Ben R. Morin (B)
2nd Lt. Ben Morin fought in, and was captured during the first tank battle of World War II in the Philippines. He believed lost, but survived various POW camps, a hell ship voyage, and slave labor in Japan. He returned to the US and became a Jesuit priest, dying on this date in 2015 in Clarkston, Michigan.
