Pvt. Emery B. Boardman died on this date in 1942 after being bayoneted along the Death March route near Balanga. He was 23. His body now lies in Plot F, Row 15, Grave  62, at the American Military Cemetery outside of Manila.

Pvt. J. C. Garrett survived the Death March, the Capas Boxcars, POW camps, a hell ship voyage and slave labor in Tokyo, Japan. He died in Panola County, Texas on this date in 1970.
