Pvt. Edens, Pvt. Dodway and Sgt. Jones survived the Death March, and the Capas Boxcars only to die of dysentery in Camp O’Donnell POW prison camp. They died on this date in 1942. Pvt. Edens is buried in the Manila American Cemetery. Sgt. Jones’ remains were returned to his family and he is buried in Caledonia, Ohio. Pvt. Dodway’s remains were also returned to his family and he is buried in Port Clinton, Ohio.
