Cpl. John B. Reynolds (MD)

wikilogoCpl. Reynolds survived the Death March, Capas boxcars, and POW camps in the Philippines. He survived attacks on the Oryoku Maru and Brazil Maru hell ships. He died on this date in 1945 of dysentery at a POW hospital in Japan.

Lt. Merrifield survived the Death March, Capas boxcars, hell ships and POW camps in Japan and China. He was rescued after the war and returned to the US. He died on this date in 1999 in Arizona.
