The Maywood Bataan Day Organization asks you to “save the date” for the next annual Maywood Bataan Day Service. As always (or at least since 1942), the service will be the second Sunday in September, which this year is September 9th.
The service will begin at 2:30pm with a concert of military and other appropriate musical pieces presented by the US Navy Great Lakes Ceremonial Band under the direction of Chief Musician Brandon Banbee.
At 3 pm, there will be a color guard presentation to start off the service.

This year we will also be paying tribute to an important part of Maywood history, Northica Hillery-Stone, who passed away earlier this year. Jeri Stenson will be paying tribute to her longtime friend, Northica Hillery-Stone

Our guest speaker will be the Philippine Consulate General in Chicago, Consul General Gina A. Jamoralin. We are excited to welcome her to her new position and look forward to her remarks.

Please plan to join us for this remarkable bit of history. This Memorial Service is the longest and largest continual World War II memorial event in the Chicago Area.
If you need additional information, please call VP Edwin Walker, IV at 708-345-7077. Press release and additional details to follow.
