Sgt. Owen Sandmire (A)

Sgt. Owen Sandmire survived the Death March, the Capas Boxcars, POW camps, a hell ship voyage and slave labor in Japan. He died in Sarasota, Florida on this date in 2004 from injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident. He was 75 years old.
