SOUTHLAKE – Leonard “Buddy” Adams, 78, retired from the U.S. Army, died Tuesday, Sept, 9, 1997, at a Dallas hospital. Funeral: 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst. Burial: 2 p.m. Friday in the Houston National Cemetery in Houston, Texas. Leonard Adams was born Aug. 7, 1919, in Montague, Texas. He was a prisoner of war from April 9, 1942, until Sept. 1, 1945, and was a survivor of the Bataan Death March. He was a very loving and kind person who will be missed by many. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Jean Adams. Survivors: Fiancee, Deloris Jane Perry
