Pvt. Lane

Pvt. Harold D. Lane fought in the Battle of Bataan, he was capture when Bataan fell. He survived the Death March and was eventually transported to Japan on a hell ship to work as a slave laborer. He was rescued at the end of WWII and returned home to Maywood, Illinois. He died on this date in 1994.
